Victim was on a motorbike when the Toyota Corolla crashed into him

A journalist of a leading newspaper suffered injuries when the bike he was driving was hit by a speeding car near hotel Le-Meridien on Parliament Street area of New Delhi district late on Wednesday night.

A police officer said that a Toyota Corolla rammed into the journalist's bike when he was on his way home after work. The car driver was found to be drunk. Police said that three persons were travelling in the car.

"The Toyota Corolla bearing number DL3CAJ0764 was being driven at top speed. The driver of the car lost control over the vehicle after which it hit the bike of the journalist.

The car came to a halt after colliding with the divider. We are planning to lodge an FIR after getting the statement of the biker who is a mediaperson," said the police officer who did not wish to be named.
