Khichdi's film team seeks good wishes from SRK

The cast of Khichdiu00a0-- The Film has dashed off a letter to Shah Rukh Khan seeking good wishes for their project.

Reason? As they make the transition from the small screen to the big screen, they want to seek luck from SRKu00a0-- who went on to be B-Town's biggest star after making his beginning on TV.






The letter, penned in Hindi, states that there are several reasons to write to him but they want to primarily seek his wishes as history is to be repeated.

Salute the icon
Says Khichdi producer J D Majethia, "Yes, we have written a letter to Shah Rukh Khan. We have written it in a language we all understand. In the letter, we have expressed our gratitude towards him for the path he has forged for us. He is one of the most important icons of Hindi cinema and so we want to salute him through the letter."

Khichdi, which took a look at a dysfunctional Gujarati family, had a long run on the small screen and went through three different transitionsu00a0-- from a daily to a weekly and then repackaged for a popular kids' channel. The cast of the film includes the actors who featured in the soap. So Babujee (Anang Desai), Hansa (Supriya Pathak), Praful (Rajiv Mehta), Jayshree (Vandana Pathak) and Himanshu (J D Majethia) will make the transition to the big screen. The film is slated to release on October 1.
