After shooting in the White House premises, Karan Johar has now taken his cast and crew inside the newsroom of a leading American news channel. The team of My Name is Khan shot inside the CBS 5 news studio in San Fransico recently.

Getting permission

It has come to light that Karan shot for an important scene with Parvin Dabas and other members of the film inside the studio. Shah Rukh was not part of the particular shoot. San Francisco's Film Commission Director Stephanie Coyote was responsible for giving permission to the crew to shoot in the film studio.

Parvin plays a news reporter in the film and shot a majority of the scenes in the CBS 5 studio. In fact, the twitter page (twitter.com/CBS5) of the news studio even mentioned the shoot on their page "Crew for India's famed actor, Shah Rukh Khan, is in the newsroom, causing all the staff to titter and gawk."

Locals try to catch up

As per reports, Karan requested the news studio employees not to divulge details of the shoot to the local media. However, news leaked out and hundreds of local Indians gathered outside the studio to catch a glimpse of the cast. A source reveals, "Ever since the cast has come to San Fransico, the local media and people have been trying to catch up with SRK and Kajol. But so far tey haven't succeeded."
