The US Open begins tomorrow, but American golfer Tiger Woods seems to be having a much more significant personal milestone to achieve at the moment.

According to reports in the American media, Woods is keen to get back with his ex-wife Elin Nordegren, who recently split from her billionaire boyfriend Chris Cline.

Failed relationships
Woods is also emerging from a failed romance with American ski champ Lindsey Vonn, and according to US sports website TerezOwens.com, the 14-time major-winning golfer has reached out to Nordegren seeking reconciliation.
Woods and Nordegren (35) divorced in 2010 after the golfer was embroiled in a sex scandal that made global headlines.
He later also reportedly underwent therapy for sex-addiction. Woods and Nordegren have two children —daughter Sam (7) and son Charlie (6). Thereafter, Woods (39) got into a relationship with Vonn (30). Their romance lasted a good three years before they split just last month.
Infidelity
Thereafter, reports claimed that the reason for the split was once again Woods' infidelity.
Interestingly, Nordegren had approved of her ex-husband's relationship with Vonn and has always appreciated Woods for being a good father.
"I have moved on and I am in a good place. My relationship with Tiger is centered around our children and we are doing really good — we really are. He is a great father," Nordegren said in an interview some months back.
Meanwhile, Woods, who relished the No 1 status in the golfing world during his marriage to Nordegren, hasn't won a major since 2008. He'll be hoping a prospective rekindled romance with his ex-wife will also help elevate his golfing career once again.
