Baby arrives two weeks early; actor’s wife was admitted to Khar’s Hinduja hospital on Thursday evening

Congratulations are in order for Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput, who were blessed with a baby girl yesterday, two weeks ahead of due date.

Sources at the Hinduja Healthcare Surgical Hospital, Khar, where Mira had been admitted on Thursday evening, said it was a normal delivery.
An insider, requesting anonymity, said, “She was taken to the labour room at 7 pm and delivered a healthy baby girl about an hour later. Both mother and child are doing well,” added a source.
On Thursday, Shahid’s father, Pankaj Kapoor along with wife Supriya Pathak visited Mira at their Juhu residence and hours later, news of Mira being rushed to hospital started pouring in.
When we got in touch with Shahid’s mother, Neelima Azim, she said, “I can’t talk right now. I am busy.”
The new daddy tweeted, “She has arrived and words fall short to express our happiness. Thank you for all your wishes.”
The actor married Delhi girl Mira, 13 years his junior, at a farmhouse on the outskirts of the national capital in July
last year.
