The students of Asia’s best event college, NIEM, organised three events on September 19 at Bhaidas Hall, Vile Parle.

The students of Asia’s best event college, NIEM, organised three events on September 19 at Bhaidas Hall, Vile Parle. The flawless execution by NIEM students proved that they had done a seasoned event manager’s job. The guidance to them was provided by Dr Hoshi Bhiwandiwalla, Dr Rajiv Zaveri, Niti Bengali, Shahaan Chesan, Sweta Borker, Rushabh Jain, Vikram Majithia, Amit Solanki, Amit Singh and David Mathew.


The day started with a grand dance contest, judged by popular choreographers Longinus Fernandes, Hemu Sinha and Dominique Alvarez. The winning teams were Crazy Crew, followed by the Tuttix Crew.


In third place was Define Dance Crew.

Next was the College Idol competition judged by TV star Anuradha Verma, Prema Mehta and Professor Shobana Vora. The five winners in male category were Makarand, Dipam Khandizod, Vivek Naik, Harsh Pandit and Rohit Shinde. In the female category, Kaajal Damania, Kinaj Dasonoi, Harsha Kandhavi, Prachi Ghatge and Medha Agarwal won the contest. In the evening, the Mr and Miss University Mumbai finale was held with Pranav Misshra and Hufriya Bhivandiwalla Kelawala judging the participants. Derrick D’Cunha won the title while Rahul Arora was adjugded runners-up.

Abhishek Vora earned third position. Among the girls, Rohini Singh was crowned Miss University followed by Tannishtha Shetty and Dhruvi Bhagat in second and third places, respectively.

Aishwarya Rao won the Miss Smile contest while Avishruti Mitra bagged Miss Ten. Saininad Ajgaonkar, Dinesh Shetty, Sairaj More and Sagar Chodankar won in the Mr Robust section.

Hugo D’Souza hosted the shows and kept the audience thoroughly entertained.
