Make the best of Independence Day

Independence Day is marked with cultural activities, drills, flag hoisting and distribution of sweets. All true blue patriots can head to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) building around 7 am to attend the flag hosting ceremony.

Since the day is a holiday, here are some activities you can indulge in throughout the day.

Vriddha Anand Ashram at Akurdi has organised a classical music recital by Mukul Shivputra Ji and Ashwini Modak, a student of Padmabhushan Dr Prabha Atre. It will be held at Vriddha Anand Ashram, behind Akurdi Railway Station, from 7.30 pm onwards.

Recipe for the day:
Trio of Eggless Mousse

Ingredients
Whipping cream 200 gm
Custard Powder 20 gm
Milk 50 ml
Kiwi crushed 10 gm
Sugar 10 gm
Orange crushed 10 gm
Preparation:

Boil the milk and add the custard powder. Let it cool and mix the cream and custard cream together. Divide the cream in three bowls and add orange crush and kiwi crush. Pipe out in the glass and garnish with choco fan.
