Victim was allegedly thrashed with the butt of a revolver by his drunken neighbours

The victim, Ashwini is undergoing treatment at Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital and his condition is stated to be stable by the doctors. Mayapuri police has detained four persons in connection with the case and is questioning them.
A senior police officer said that Ashwini Chadda lives in K Block of Mayapuri area along with his family while two of the accused, Prince and Rajan Barera live right behind his house.
"On Monday night, Prince returned home in his car. He was drunk when he picked up an argument with Ashwini over parking. Soon, Rajan also joined him and fished out a pistol. He trained the pistol on Ashwini while Prince hit the victim on his face. Ashwini's family has alleged that the perpetrators also hit Ashwini with the butt of the revolver. Hearing the commotion neighbours gathered at the spot and cops were called," said a senior police officer.
The officer said that Ashwini's son Manish Chadda has also alleged that his father was beaten up by Prince and Rajan. Both the accused were said to be in an inebriated condition.
Police say they are investigating the matter.
