New Delhi: A 35-year-old man was found hanging from a tree near Sanjay Gandhi's memorial, next to Shantivan -- Jawaharlal Nehru's samadhi -- here, police said Sunday.
The man, Kamleshwar of Kalyanpuri in east Delhi, was found hanging around 11.30 a.m. Saturday by a passerby who informed the police.
He was identified from an identity card recovered from his possession.
"We have registered a case and are trying to find out the reason behind his taking the extreme step. No suicide note was recovered from the spot," said a police official.
Kamleshwar, who used to run a shop in Khora Colony, in Noida of Uttar Pradesh, went missing Friday. His family members had registered a missing report with the Kalyanpuri police station.
