The Vile-Parle police are searching for two people who allegedly fired at the premises of Hotel Gajalee on Hanuman Road in Vile-Parle East.

According to the police one of them entered near the parcel counter tying a handkerchief on his face and wearing a black cap he dropped a card with one of the waiters and fled on a bike that was driven by his another colleague who was standing outside.
On Friday night around 22.30 hours, according to the cops the men entered the hotel premise and dropped the chit with one of the waiters sitting at the parcel counter. The person also said, "Tere Aandhar Ke Baap ko Dena aur call nahi kiya toh uppar bhej duga." (They asked the waiters to drop the chit with the owner and asked him to call on the mobile number given on the chit)
"We have seized the chit and are tracing the mobile number that was written on it," said senior police inspector of Vile Parle police station, Raksha Maharao. The police while doing a panchanama of the area also found lead of bullet and they inquired with the employee Manohar Chougule who told them that something past him but he hardly felt anything.
"We have also found lead of the bullets and have seized the same," said Maharao.
The cops suspect the accused fired at Chougule but it did not go well. The cops have also taken CCTV footage from the hotel and nearby area’s to trace the accused and suspect it to be a work of gangsters like Ravi Pujari. "Pujari gang usually operates more in Western Suburbs and fire at the premises of builders and hoteliers and leave mobile numbers asking the owners to call back and threaten them for money,” said a police officer from the Mumbai Police.
Gajalee hotels that is run by Shettys operates several restaurants in the city and is famous for sea food.
