Bridgette Jordan (22) from Sandoval, Illinois, stands 2 feet 3 inches (69 cm) and also holds the record for shortest living siblings with her 20 year-old brother Brad.
69 cm of joy: Bridgette Jordan tries to live an active life and enjoys dancing and music. Jordan added that she was thrilled to win the award and believes everyone should be confident in themselves
Standing at a comparatively lofty 3 feet 2 iches (96.5cm), Jordan lists his hobbies as basketball, karate and gymnastics.
Music-lover Jordan also likes to stay active and often spends time dancing and cheerleading.
On her record-breaking achievement, Jordan said, "It feels awesome. It's great to be small. I believe that everyone should be confident in themselves."
Her brother added, "Hopefully this will go a little way in helping people realise it's okay to be different." Jordan breaks the record of 22-year-old Elif Kocaman, from Kadirli, Turkey, who measured 2 feet 4.58 inches (72.6 cm).
Both Jordan siblings feature in the Guinness World Records 2012. The tiny twosome suffer from Majewski osteodysplastic primordial dwarfism type II.
The record for shortest woman who ever lived was Pauline Musters, of the Netherlands, who measured 61cm when she died from pneumonia at age 19.
