Readers strongly condemn Varun Gandhi's hate speech

Varun Gandhi has succeeded in drawingu00a0 attention by his 'hate' speech. His communal remarks have left the entire nation shocked.u00a0

Even the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders have expressed their disapproval of such communal campaigning.
Does Varun realise the fallout of his remarks? The highly objectionable slang used by Varun in his speech could spark off violent communal clashes in the country. But the minority communities should realise that the speech could only be an attempt to get them to react. Restraint is what needs to be exercised. It's important that communal harmony is maintained at all costs. Let Varun Gandhi not succeed where hardened terrorists have failed. Let the Election Commission take appropriate action against Varun. This is in the best interest of the nation.u00a0u00a0

Not our leader
Varun Gandhi is caught in the line of fire because of his provoking speech. Even his own party, the BJP have slammed him for his remarks directed at the minority community.

We do not need leaders like Varun Gandhi to represent us. It's shocking that such biased remarks have come from a GenY politician. The 28-year-old's speech has particularly saddened the nation because it comes from the member of the Gandhi family, who have been at the helm of the country's affairs for decades.

Varun claims that the speech has been tampered with, but there are few who believe him. The young Gandhi is educated and has always been seen as a man with vision, but his speech clearly indicates otherwise.

It looks like it's the end of the road as far as Varun's political career goes.

Dialogue filmy hai
Varun Gandhi's speech has hurled him in the middle of a controversy. Though he claims that his speech has been doctored, few believe him. 'Gita ki kasam' may sound filmy, but anyone who swears to "cut off the hands of any person who raises a finger against the Hindus" is wrong.

The speech is communal. It promotes hatred and is anti-Hindu and most importantly anti-Indian.
