Missing answer sheets delay M Ed results

Worried students have been left in the lurch for over four months now

First semester students from eight colleges doing their M Ed were left wondering, since even after four months of appearing for their exams, their results were not declared.

When college representatives approached the Bangalore University to know the status of the results, officials kept on saying that they would be declared the next week, but that never happened.

Later, it was discovered that a few bundles of the answer scripts went missing, when they were handed over to the computer department of the university.

They have been now found, and the valuation has started."

One of the college principals, who didn't wish to be named, said, "Whenever I went and asked for the results, the concerned officials at the university said that the results would be declared in the next week.

The exams got over in the month of February, but the university has not declared the results yet."

Girish Kumar, an M Ed student said, "The IInd semester exams are starting from July 1, we still don't have results for the Ist sem. We are eager to know our results."

Dr RM Ranganath, registrar (administration), said, "I was told that the computers were not working so they couldn't feed the marks and the thus there is a delay in the results.

I will look into the matter and see that they are declared at the earliest."
