More than 1 in 3 primary school students think cheese comes from plants

29 percent of primary school students believe that cheese comes from plants, and 18 percent think that fish fingers comes from chicken, a new survey has revealed

More than 1 in 3 primary school students think cheese comes from plants

The survey, which was conducted by The British Nutrition Foundation (BNF) and included more than 27,500 children in the research, found that about 10 percent secondary school kids believe that tomatoes grow under the ground, the Daily Star reported.

The study - launched on Monday by The Princess Royal – has more than 3,000 schools participating in the week-long event, during which more than 1.2 million kids will learn about healthy eating, cooking and where food comes from.
