Despite being suspended pending enquiry by the Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA), Rizvi Springfield (Bandra) coach Raju Pathak was present at the Cross Maidan yesterday to watch his wards take on SPS Suvidyalaya in a Giles Shield tie. Pathak was provisionally suspended for fielding an over-age player in the Harris Shield.

MSSA cricket secretary HS Bhor said, "His suspension means that he can't accompany any inter-school team for MSSA events.

We will talk to the Rizvi principal and ensure that he doesn't come to the ground till we take a final call." However, Pathak said that MSSA didn't inform him that he couldn't be with the team.
