IN a first-of-its-kind initiative, the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) has tied up with a website ufffd www.cricketgraph.com ufffd to ensure that all the scoresheets of the upcoming Harris and Giles Shield Elite Division matches can be seen online
MSSA cricket secretary HS Bhor said that the initiative will help in smoother functioning of the tournament.
“Every year we got complaints from parents’ schools and coaches that they were unable to maintain records of the matches. Till last season, we did not have the manpower to update the scores on our (MSSA) website. This tie-up will ensure that the players’ records would be maintained and could be viewed by everybody,” said Bhor.

MSSA President Fr Jude Rodrigues said, “MSSA is trying to take the tournament to the next level by making the scores available to everyone.”
Meanwhile, MSSA’s Director of Administration, Savio Abraham, explained that the tie-up is just on a trial basis this season.
“This being the first year, we want to have the results updated only for Harris and Giles Shield’s Elite Division. If it goes smoothly, we will think about having the Plate Division scoresheets also uploaded from next year,” Abraham told MiD DAY yesterday.
Cricketgraph.com’s Amol Sonavane added, “For now, the tie-up is for duration of one year. The scoresheets will be uploaded within 48 hours. For important matches, we could upload the scoresheets within an hour or two after the completion of the matches.”
