Three men attacked a 51-year-old US national while he was jogging in Powai yesterday morning
The motive behind the attack was robbery, said police officials. David Paris had arrived in the city on Monday for a company visit. He has been staying in Ramada Residency at Powai.
An official from the Powai police station said, “The three individuals who attacked Paris are said to be in the age group of 20-25. While two came on a motorcycle, the third accused was present at the spot and was behaving like any other pedestrian.”

The trio intercepted Paris the moment he reached Mitigate in Powai and asked him to hand over his wallet and other valuables. They used a knife to threaten him. “But, instead of handing over his valuables, Paris punched two of the three accused following which he was attacked by the third one from behind with a sharp object.
Later, the victim returned to the hotel and narrated the incident to the hotel staff and his colleagues. They suggested that he report the matter to the police,” said an officer. Paris was later sent to a hospital for medical examination. The reports stated he had sustained bruises on his back.
