The Dindoshi police arrested a 27-year-old man for molesting a 20-year-old woman with special needs in Malad East on Friday night.
Based on the survivor's statement, a case of sexual abuse has been registered against the accused, Faruk Abdul Khan, who runs a scrap shop in Malad East.

According to an official from Dindoshi police station, Khan lived in the survivor's neighbourhood and they were known to each other. “On Friday at 9 pm, Khan took the victim to a funfair after seeking her parent's permission.
Instead, he led her to an isolated spot in the vicinity and sexually abused her.
When Khan dropped her home in an hour, the survivor was crying. She narrated the incident and her parents lodged a complaint.” Khan was arrested soon after and booked under IPC section 354.
He has been sent to remand.
