Contrary to common belief, we also know how to have fun. Just because I play the sarod doesn't mean that I'm a serious guy. In fact, both Amaan (Ali Khan) and I are great at mimicry. We do have a sense of humour, you know!

I like performing in a kurta, but surprise, surprise, I also wear jeans. In fact I'm quite brand-conscious. I think that the younger lot is very particular about dressing right and looking good. And we know all the latest trends.
In my free time, I head to the theatres. I enjoy films, but what you probably don't know is that we all want to make it to Bollywood. Those of us who haven't already, are sitting with our fingers crossed for that big break.
And our dream doesn't end with the acting. We all want to compose music for films too. Who said that we Indian classical musicians weren't an ambitious lot?
I don't know why people find it so hard to believe that we can also enjoy a drink once in a while. We don't live on milk and water, after all. We like to bond over drinks with friends. In fact, that's the story with most of the young classical musicians around.
