Dear Diana, I am 21 and in a relationship with this guy for the past year.
He is overpossessive and doesn’t allow me to talk to other guys. He tells me how to dress and how to behave. I’ve tried to talk to him about it, but it has proved futile. He thinks that I will ignore him. In fact, he just tells me he doesn’t like it. I even tried leaving him, but it didn’t work out.

Dear Neema,
You should be firm and tell him clearly that you do not like his stance as it hurts you. He cannot dictate terms and tell you what to wear and what not. Do not let him invade in your own private domain. Couples also need their own personal space. Tell him and make him understand that it is okay to have some time off from each other. If you feel suffocated in the relationship, just let go. There is no point in getting stifled. You perhaps deserve better.
Diana will solve it!
