What was stopping you the entire year to make friends? You may feel shy and awkward in making the first move, but if you want to amend the situation, you have to shed the shy tag. There are so many common subjects to talk about — from lectures, professors and exams. You can’t go hunting for a best friend. You might just click with someone due to common interests.
