Dear Diana, I have been married for two years. My wife has gained a lot of weight since our marriage.
She seems to be in no mood to keep fit. Before our marriage, she was conscious about her appearance and worked out regularly. Her newly acquired laziness irritates me. She says she no longer cares about her appearance and that she has no time to work out now.

Dear Pratham,
Many women post marriage just let themselves go. They feel there is no need to stay in shape or look attractive. But this is fast changing. Nowadays women work hard to regain their figures even after childbirth. There is no baby yet, so your wife can’t even say it is post baby weight. Start by helping your wife in the household chores so that she can at least have 45 minutes off for exercises. A daily brisk walk can help a great deal. Show her old photos and tell her that you would like her to be how she was. Marriage does not mean she ends up looking a mess. She can enroll in a gym too and make it part of her daily routine. Motivate her to stay in shape.
Diana will solve it!
