The court is expected to grant the permission today.

NIA is also closely monitoring both the blast cases (Bangalore and IPL) wanted to grill the duo to dig out more information about the terror network, that is spreading across the country.

At least three people were killed in the serial blasts that rocked the city in 2008.

Nawaz has been accused of financing the Bangalore blasts. He later fled to Muscat to take refuge with his relatives.

His name had cropped up during the interrogation of Abdul Sattar, a radio mechanic from Kerala who devised timers for the bombs. Sarfaraz is closely connected to Riyaz Bhatkal, Iqbal and Naseer.

The NIA wants to interrogate Nawaz to track down the international terror corridor that is used for financial transactions.

According to police sources, NIA wants to interrogate both of them, as both are alleged to have close contacts with the recently- arrested Abdul Nasser Madani.

Meanwhile, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate has extended the judicial custody Madani till September 15.
