Johannesburg: A South African court will announce its judgement on Thursday into state prosecutors' appeal for Oscar Pistorius to be convicted of murder for shooting dead his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in 2013, a court official said.

The Paralympic sprinter was found guilty last year of the lesser crime of culpable homicide — a charge equivalent to manslaughter — and he was released from jail on parole in October.
