India's mixed doubles pair of Leander Paes and Sania Mirza were trailing 5-7, 2-3 in their crucial quarter-final match against the top seeded Belarusian pair of Max Mirnyi and Victoria Azarenka in the Olympic Games here last night when bad light stopped play.
The Indian pair began well and held serve right up to the 10th game of the first set. However, the Mirnyi-Azarenka broke the Indian serve in Game No 12 and clinched the set 7-5.u00a0

In the second set, Paes-Mirza did well to break their opponents but they joy was shortlived as the Belarusians in turn broken the Indians back to level the proceedings.
