PAKISTANI army on Saturday violated ceasefire as they fired two mortar shells on the Indian positions along the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. There were two rounds of mortar fired from across the border from 7 to 7.15 pm in Janjard area, over 100 km from Jammu, of Nowshera sector, a senior army official said. However, the shell landed away from the post and there was no casualty in the attack, he said. It was a ceasefire violation and Indian troops did not retaliate, he added. This was the second ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops this year, the previous one having come in March.
