Speaking about this exhibition, Aditya says, “We are displaying around 50 paintings in all. It is the third time that we as a couple are hosting an exhibition together and we have explored totally different themes in it. This time I have gone a little abstract through my paintings.”
Inspired by artist Vizsla, Aditya, a graduate of Abhinav Kala Vidyalaya, had once chosen science as his main stream in college but he could not keep away the artist inside himself.
He believes in painting his life experiences on canvas. Aditya is known for his horse sculptures some of which will be showcased in the exhibition.
Mukta, who is an art professor at SNDT College, says, “I have been planning this series for a while now. I have tried to portray my feelings about nature, birds and female figures through this exhibition. I am inspired by artist Clint Vega and I think as an artist, its your inner persona which comes out on the canvas for people to see.”
The husband-wife duo share a great rapport even though they work with different themes in seperate studios. As Aditya says, “We do share ideas while working but when it comes to portraying something on canvas, we act as totally different individuals as our approach is different. Often we do have chats on the display of our exhibitions as we work together.”u00a0
