Mohammed Mansoor Ashgar Peerbhoy, the computer engineer, accused of sending emails on behalf of Indian Mujahideen about several blasts in the country, was on Saturday sent to 10 days police custody by a Delhi court.

Peerbhoy, a former employee of Yahoo India, was brought to the capital by Delhi police's Special Cell on transit remand from Mumbai and was produced before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaveri Baweja who sent him to police custody till March 9.

The techie was arrested along with three others by the anti-terror cell of Mumbai police last year.

Public Prosecutor Rajeev Mohan said Peerbhoy ,31, who was heading the media cell of the terrorist outfit, hacked WiFi networks in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai and sent mails to media houses minutes before the Ahmedabad and Delhi blasts last year.

However, Peerbhoy's counsel MS Khan, opposed the Delhi police's plea for his custodial interrogation contending that chargesheet in the September serial blats case has been filed in which police had given all the details on his role in the case.
