What are the latest and coolest video games and gaming technologies on offer at the Indian Gaming Expo over the weekend?

  While India remains way behind the world in terms of hosting a tech expo of international standards, if you are a gamer, you may still be able to experience some of the latest games and technology at IGX — Indian Gaming Expo this weekend.

The two-day expo that begins on November 14 will give visitors a chance to play red-hot recent games, including Fallout 4 (launching globally today for Xbox One, PlayStation4 and PC), MadMax, Lego Jurassic, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, BloodBorne, Mortal Kombat X, Until Dawn, The Witcher Wild Hunt, WWE 2K16 and Batman Arkham Knight (despite the glitches) among others.

Visitors will also be able to play other popular games in dedicated console booths, and take home cash prizes and official merchandise. Games distributor e-Xpress will host a special WWE 2K16 championship at the venue, offering prizes worth '1.5 lakhs.

Also at IGX will be gaming hardware maker, Zotac, who will showcase its special range of graphic cards, mini PCs and other gaming hardware, along with Mafia 3 developers, Gamebolt. Visitors can also earn some special discounts on game titles by Games the Shop.

The event will also see a two-day costume competition, CosPlay. The best-dressed participants can take home goodies including a PS4. The event will be organised offline as well as online. So, put your best game face on.

Board games at Creeda Cafe

This weekend, head to the newly opened games café in Fort, Creeda, for a two-hour session of free table top gaming. The café offers a mix of classic and new table top games.

The event has been organised by TableTop India, a non-profit organisation that works towards promoting table top games (board games) in India, and Comic Con India. It will have board game experts teaching participants how to play Splendor (a card development game), Tokaido (a game that takes you across Japan), Concept (a guessing game), Catan (a German board game), Rummikub (a combination of Rummy and Mahjong) and more. Participants can also purchase games at the café.
