Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Friday congratulated the Indian cricket team for winning the Asia Cup.

"The players displayed team spirit and fighting qualities in bringing the laurels to the country," the prime minister said in a message.

India crushed Sri Lanka by 81 runs to win the Asia Cup cricket tournament in Sri Lanka Thursday.
