MCA officials rubbish Shah Rukh Khan's version of the fracas at the Wankhede Stadium, even as Mumbai Police file a a non-cognisable offence against him and three others.
Even as the Mumbai Police registered a non-cognisable offence against Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and three others in connection with an alleged fracas involving them and the officials of the Mumbai Cricket Association at Wankhede Stadium, the MCA officials rubbished the KKR co-owners's claim that they were the aggressors.
The NC was registered at Marine Drive police station after a complaint was filed against Shah Rukh and others by Vikas Dalvi, the security guard posted at the Wankhede Stadium, who was allegedly manhandled by the actor, an IPS officer told reporters.

Earlier today, MCA Joint Secretary Nitin Dalal moved the Marine Drive police against Shah Rukh, co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, and others in connection with the incident.

"Khan and his three associates were booked under IPC sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace)," the officer added.
Acting on Dalvi's plaint, police began an inquiry into the alleged incident and also recorded statements of Dalal and Dalvi at the police station and then registered the NC.
According to police, the recording of statement lasted for about two hours and some more persons are likely to be called in for recording their version.
The NC has been registered against the actor and three unidentified persons -- at least two of them believed to be from film industry -- accompanying him, they said.
Meanwhile, Assistant Police Commissioner Iqbal Shaikh said police reached the stadium last night soon after they were informed about the alleged misbehaviour on part of Shah Rukh with the MCA officials.
Police immediately took away the actor from the spot and defused the tension, he said.
"We were told that Khan had entered the ground with some children after the match was over. When security guards objected, he allegedly manhandled a guard (Dalvi) and used abusive language against officials of MCA, Cricket Board, security guards and a woman who is yet to be identified," Shaikh said.
"We were also informed that the actor was under the influence of alcohol," the ACP said, adding, "Even I could smell alcohol while taking away Khan in a vehicle to another place outside the stadium."
Shaikh said inquiry into the incident was on and police would record the statement of witnesses. He, however, refused to comment when asked if the actor would be called for questioning.
He also parried a question whether Shah Rukh would be subjected to a medical test to determine if he was under the influence of liquor.

Meanwhile, the MCA's managing committee will convene an emergency meeting tomorrow where a final decision will be taken on a proposal to impose a lifetime ban on Shah Rukh on entering Wankhede Stadium as both parties accused each other of misbehaviour that provoked the brawl.
The actor, however, categorically denied that he was drunk and claimed that the scuffle broke out after MCA officials manhandled his kids whom he had come to pick after the IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians.
