Besides the youth driving the car, two other youngsters including a girl, who were inside the vehicle, have also sustained injuries.

"Assistant Sub-Inspector Chandrakant Kadam attached with Samata Nagar police station was walking on the road at Thakur complex when the speeding Mitsubishi Lancer hit him," a senior police officer said.
"The three youngsters who were inside the car also sustained injuries." "All four were rushed to a nearby hospital," police officer said adding further investigation is on.
