Actress Meera Chopra has had a brief stint in Bollywood so far; she was last seen in the forgettable 2016 film, 1920 London, starring Sharman Joshi. Now, hitlist has learnt that Meera's superstar cousin, Priyanka Chopra, gave her strong career advice during her last trip to India.
A source says, "They spent quality time together. Meera spoke to Priyanka about her recent projects and PeeCee helped arrange a meeting a top casting official at the CTV Television Network. Meera has bagged a part in a Canadian fantasy drama series. She will start shooting soon."
Meera will apparently travel to the US this month to learn new languages. She has been frequenting Priyanka's Juhu office and shares a special bond with her mother, Madhu Chopra.
In fact, they were in talks for a South collaboration under PeeCee's production banner, but Meera's schedule will now be divided between Canada and India.
"Though the length of her part in the Canadian project is yet to be decided, it is confirmed that she has a meaty role," says the source.
Despite repeated attempts, Meera remained unavailable for comment.
