Rahul Pani Chala Jayega

You can swim till the pool has water and not after it has been drained out. From Uttar Pradesh to Orissa, Bihar to West Bengal and now in Maharashtra, as Rahul Gandhi travels around the country as the mentor of new India, the entire country is following him. "The reason why I am asking you (rural youth) to join politics is because it alone can bridge the gap between rural and urban India. It is undoubtedly the biggest instrument for connecting the two 'Indias'," he recently said.

However, it's been five long years that he has been weaving the voters into the ideology of Congress Party and the AICC general secretary and in-charge of youth Congress has been impressive all way long. But, I think, the time has come for him to take center stage, not just as an endorser of but also as a 'neta' who can implement what he has advocated. Else, I fear, he'll end up like a film which had amazing trailers but tanked at the ticket counter.
Rahul has played a major role in the perception formation of UPA in its second run at the centre and many of us voted for Rahul, and not Congress, which is why it becomes even more important for him to start acting like a politician who sits on the chair at a time when damage made by other leaders in the party is still reversible.

I wonder, what will be the use of him coming to the implementation stage when his colleagues have already messed up with his ideologies? Also, if he delays too much his activists and followers might loose the confidence. Since Congress stands no chance in the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar, Rahul should concentrate on the next assembly elections in West Bengal and Kerala, where the party stands a chance to enhance the performance.

However, to make everything a cakewalk for his party, Rahul should face the camera and not just write scripts. Who knows, because of various reasons including anti-incumbency, the UPA won't come in power in the next Lok Sabha elections. As a Rahul fan, I'm eagerly waiting to see him in action before I lose my patience.
