Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming movie "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" is all set to release in Russia and the actor is happy to showcase his work in a country which shared a special bond with his grandfather Raj Kapoor
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the love story stars Ranbir alongside his former girlfriend Deepika Padukone. It will be Ranbir's first project to release in Russia. "I hope that Russia opens up a very big market for Indian cinema. I think Indian film market is growing globally we have big markets in Brazil, China, Japan and I think Russia coming into the picture would be great for Indian cinema," Ranbir said. Raj Kapoor's films "Awara" and "Mera Naam Joker" are immensely popular in Russia.
His song 'Jeena Yahan Marna Yahan' from "Mera Naam Joker" featured a Russian actress Kseniya Ryabinkina in its cast. The legendary actor had also acted as a jury at the Moscow International Film Festival.
"Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" is Ranbir's second outing with Mukerji after "Wake Up Sid". The film also stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin in the lead and will hit theaters this Friday. u00a0
