Ever since Rani Mukerji learnt Krav Maga for her film Mardaani, she has been fascinated by the martial art. Developed for the military in Israel, this self-defence system comprises a combination of boxing, judo, wrestling and grappling techniques.
What the actress found intriguing was that this form of fighting required less physical strength, which makes a weak person become stronger just by using technical knowledge. Rani, who will be seen essaying the role of a police officer in Mardaani, underwent special training for the film. A group of professionals were flown down from Israel to train her.
