Shalabh Shrivastava (19) was the only Vidarbha batsman to reach double digits. In reply, riding on Naushad Shaikh (111*) and Ankit Bawane (75*), Maharashtra scored 240-3 at the end of day's play.
"There was slight moisture on the wicket and it was not easy for batsmen because the ball was not coming onto the bat. I just tried to bowl a good line and length. I kept bowling with rhythm and grabbed the opportunity," said Sanklecha.
In Mysore, defending champions Mumbai were bowled out for 233 against Uttar Pradesh on Day One of their Group 'A' match. Middle order batsman Suryakumar Yadav scored 99 which included 17 boundaries.
