Oscar-winning sound engineer Resul Pokutty, who won the international honour for his work in "Slumdog Millionaire", has been roped in for megastar Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya's directorial debut "3".
"It's a great pleasure telling you guys that Oscar winner Resul Pookutty sir will be working with us in our film '3'. God bless," Dhanush, the film's lead actor and Aishwarya's husband, posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.
Pookutty, 36, won the coveted Oscar at the 81st Academy Awards. He has also been sound engineer for like "Black" (2005), "Traffic Signal" (2007), "Saawariya" (2007) and "Ghajini"(2008).
His forthcoming projects include "Rectangular Love Story", "Rangeen In Love", "Mocktale", "Hawai Dada", "Pazhaasi Raja", Walt Disney collaboration "The 19th Step" and two other Hollywood projects.
Aishwarya's "3" features and Shruti Haasan in lead roles.
Dhanush garnered overnight popularity across the nation thanks to his song "Kolaveri di", which went viral online as soon as a video of it was posted on YouTube.
