Love You To Death, as I see it, is an attempt of a spoof on the empty lives of the super rich who look for a cause to fill their lives with.
The film is about a dysfunctional family that has Sonia (Yuki Ellias), director Rafeeq Ellias's daughter, a multi billionaire married to a greedy fellow Atul Sinha (Chandan Roy Sanyal). Atul's wicked mother Sundari (Suhasini Mulay) loves video games and in her spare time makes plans of eliminating Sonia, to usurp all her money.

Atul's father Ravi (Kallol Banerjee) hates his wife, with good reason. Sonia is addicted to her tarot card reader (Sheeba Chaddha) and would do anything, even kill at her behest. To fill her empty life comes along an environmentalist John (Nicholos Brown), who gets her to come alive with the cause.
The film is a dark thriller with a good dose of humour. Some of the scenes, like when a director of a play gets involved in plotting Sonia's murder or even a scene where the domestic servant Chhotu and Ravi are dining together in a restaurant are funny.
Even though a dark thriller, the film is treated in a light manner. Nothing is too serious, even murder. Even though the film lacks pace at some points, especially in the first half, it generally manages to pick up and hold the audience's interest for most part of it. The climax is shot and edited brilliantly. In fact, the climax is the high point of the film, where you are caught between being amused and curious.
Another highpoint of this film is the ensemble cast of some fantastic actors. While Suhasini Mulay and Sheeba Chaddha have predictably done a good job, Yuki is also pretty decent for a debut role.
Even though Rafeeq Ellias has done a decent job of directing this one, a bit more confidence would have taken the film to another level.
A movie that keeps you engaged for a good part of it and makes you laugh once in a while.
