Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, despite having faced objection from several sports stars over his selection as India's Goodwill Ambassador for Rio Olympics 2016, continues to encourage athletes Sandeep Sharma and OP Jaisha
Salman Khan found himself in the middle of controversy after he was announced the Goodwill Ambassador of the Indian Contingent for Rio Olympics 2016. Milkha Singh and Yogeshwar Dutt questioned the Indian Olympic Association's decision and instead wanted a sportsperson to be announced as the ambassador. However, all these controversies seem to have not affected the Bollywood star.
The actor had recently celebrated the announcement on Abhinav Bindra as India’s Goodwill Ambassador for Rio Olympics.
On May 3, he wrote on Twitter, “Three cheers for @Abhinav_Bindra,Olympic gold medalist& India's Goodwill Ambassador #RioOlympics2016 #MakeIndiaProud”.
Later, on May 5, he also posted a picture of athlete Sandeep Kumar to encourage him. He also wrote, “Let's cheer for Sandeep Kumar . #RioOlympics2016 #MakeIndiaProud”.
Today, he also cheered for athlete OP Jaisha.
