It has been 20 years since Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal last shared the screen. After Damini in 1993, the two veteran actors will be seen again in a forthcoming untitled project to be produced by Bharat Patel and directed by Sanjay Chhel of Khoobsurat (1999) fame.
A source from the production says, “Interestingly, they have a pivotal role in the romantic comedy caper while the new faces haven’t been decided yet. The makers of the film are still looking for a male and female lead where the girl will play Paresh’s daughter and the boy will play Rishi’s son. As soon as they are finalised, the film will hit the floors.”
According to Sanjay, Rishi and Paresh made all the difference to the script. “I had written the characters with them in mind. We were apprehensive but once they heard the script, they readily agreed. It’s an honour to be working with such effortless artistes and I am lucky that I managed to get both of them on board,” gushes Sanjay.
