What you can do with a closed ATM? Well, if you are a bonafide customer it is useless for you. However, thieves do not always need to swipe a card to withdraw money.

It is exactly what they did to a Canara Bank ATM in Gurgaon. The teller machine, which was closed for more than one month, was looted at around 8 pm last evening.

According to a police complaint by the bank, the thieves took away Rs 6,36,000 from the machine installed at the posh Sushant Arcade in the DLF city.

No bank official was available to comment upon the reasons behind the closure of the ATM.
