With the recent influx of South actors into Bollywood films, it could be a second innings for Arvind Swamy (of Roja and Bombay fame) with Bejoy Nambiar’s next. According to insiders, Bejoy approached the South star for his next production, all details about which is being closely guarded.
A source says, “Bejoy is in the process of making multiple films and for one of his projects, which will be directed by his assistant, he felt Arvind would fit the bill. The filmmaker is known for his South connections and had even assisted Mani Ratnam.”
And that’s apparently how Bejoy managed to reach out to Arvind, who has been away from Bollywood for nearly 15 years. “The meeting between the two has taken place and the formalities are yet to be done,” adds the source. Confirms Bejoy, “Yes, it is true that I have spoken to him and it is for a film which I am producing. But we are yet to sign him as only initial talks have taken place.”
