Mallika Sherawat and Sonu Sood are all set to play road-travelling lovers in debutant director Afzal Rizvi's film Lucky Unlucky
Mallika Sherawat and Sonu Sood are all set to play road-travelling lovers in debutant director Afzal Rizvi's film Lucky Unlucky.
Sherawat plays a Haryanvi, and Sood, a Punjabi in Rizvi's new film. However, the film seems to have run into some luck issues of its own.
The film initially got delayed because Sherawat apparently alloted her dates at the beginning of the year to another Hindi project Kismet Love Paisa Dilli (KLPD) with Vivek Oberoi.
"To Sonu Sood's dismay, the winter dates that he had allotted for his film with Mallika were postponed. Sonu is a very busy actor in Telegu, Tamil and Hindi cinema. He quickly readjusted his dates and made sure his time didn't go to waste, when Mallika gave away her dates elsewhere. He also started pre-production work on Lucky Unlucky, since he's a co-producer on the project."
Now, when Sherawat is ready to shoot, Sood isn't.
"I won't be able to shoot for Lucky Unlucky right now. I have a major release coming up in March, to which I need to devote all my time for marketing," he said.
"After March it gets really hot in Punjab and Haryana. So the shooting would have to be postponed," said Sood.
The actor hopes to begin work in September-October. This drastic re-scheduling will inconvenience Sherawat, who has no Hindi films besides Kismat Love Paisa Dilli and Lucky Unlucky.
