Shah Rukh Khan sports 'Pathaan' look for new ad with Ajay Devgn

Bollywood stars Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan have once again collaborated for a new ad film. They had previously collaborated for the same brand that promotes cardamom. While the earlier ad also featured Akshay Kumar, he has now been replaced with Tiger Shroff. Akshay had backed out after facing backlash from fans and other netizens for promoting the brand.  Talking about the latest ad, Shah Rukh Khan can be seen sporting his 'Pathaan' look. Like in the film, the superstar is seen sporting long hair and wearing shades. He is seen sitting on the passenger seat with actor Ajay Devgn on the driver's seat. They are seen driving through a crowded, narrow lane and honking to clear the traffic. SRK suggests Ajay to open a packet of elaichi which refreshes them and puts them in a better mood despite the traffic.  We see Shroff walking towards the car and splashing the product that is being endorsed. The trio engage with the product and the 'Pathaan' star also accidentally throws 'elaichi' at a passing biker who turns out to be actress Amyra Dastur. The ad was first played during an IPL match on Thursday, April 25.  Here is the Latest #VimalElaichi Ad featuring #ShahRukhKhan #AjayDevgn & #TigerShroff all together in one add..How delightful 😊 magical presence.!@iamsrk @ajaydevgn @iTIGERSHROFF pic.twitter.com/nTnT55vW4s — SHAH RUKH KHAN FANS ASSOCIATION (@Srk_bangalore) April 25, 2024 The first ad from the brand featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay and Akshay Kumar was broadcasted in early 2023. However, netizens criticised the involvement of the three influential stars, especially Kumar owing to his frequent endorsement of fitness and health.   In April 2023, Kumar had apologised to his fans with a note on Instagram. “I am sorry. I would like to apologise to you, all my fans and well-wishers. Your reaction over the past few days has deeply affected me. While I have not and will not endorse tobacco, I respect the outpouring of your feelings in light of my association with Vimal Elaichi," he had written. "With all humility, I step back. I have decided to contribute the entire endorsement fee towards a worthy cause. The brand might continue airing the ads till the legal duration of the contract that is binding upon me, but I promise to be extremely mindful in making my future choices. In return I shall forever continue to ask for your love and wishes,” he had said.

Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan

Confirmed: Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan to reunite after 14 years

Filmmaker Priyadarshan and actor Akshay Kumar are all set to reunite for an exciting project. The director-actor duo has previously worked together on films like 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa', Bhagam Bhag', 'Hera Pheri' and 'Garam Masala'. Now, the filmmaker has confirmed that he will be reuniting with Akshay after 14 years.  The new film that brings the duo together will be a horror fantasy drama with comedy. Ekta Kapoor will be backing this film. Talking to HT City, Priyadarshan said that he has wrapped the shooting of his documentary series on Ram Mandir and will now shift his focus on the Akshay Kumar film. When asked if it would be anything like 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa', he said, “That was a psychological thriller, but this one will be fantasy, in the backdrop of black magic, the oldest superstition of India. It is always a pleasure collaborating with Akshay. From our first film, to this one, it has always turned out well with him, he handles the emotions so well. I was waiting for a good subject to get back with him, and this one I feel will be that.” While the third instalments of his films 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' and 'Hera Pheri' is in the making presently, Priyadarshan has nothing to do with the projects. Infact, the filmmaker expressed his dislike for sequels. "The first one is always the best, like Hera Pheri. It will always be good, you can make whatever second or third parts. People will always say they liked the original. In sequels, makers exploit the success of that market. There’s nothing wrong in doing that. The world over people make sequels. Terminator 2 was bigger than Terminator 1, the former was made by another director. I, somehow, don’t like to do sequels," he said.  Priyadarshan is known for remaking Malayalam movies into Hindi and most of them have been a huge hit. 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' is the remake of 'Manichitrathazhu', 'Hera Pheri' is the remake of 'Ramji Rao Speaking', 'Chup Chup Ke' is the remake of 'Punjabi House', 'Hulchul' is the remake of 'Godfather'.  Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is currently busy with the shoot of 'Welcome To The Jungle' being directed by Ahmed Khan. The film has an ensemble cast including Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Arshad Warsi, and many more.

One of the topics that Paul addressed is the state of the roads in Mumbai which has been a major concern among citizens of the city.  During the conversation, Maniesh Paul asked the CM when the city will become pothole-free. Responding to the question, the CM said, "Pehle mai CM nahi tha. Tab BMC mai kaun kaam dekhta tha aapko pata hai. Ab jab main CM ban gaya tab main commissioner ko bulaya. Har baarish mai logo ko gaddha ka saamna karna padta hai, bahut face karna padta hai. Yeh 10-15 saal main, ye jo repair work har baarish main karte hai baarish se pehle, kitne kharch hue, bole Rs 3500 cr (I was not the CM earlier. Everyone know who looked after the work in BMC. After I became a CM, I called the commissioner and asked him, 'Every monsoon people have to face potholes. How much has been spent in the last 10-15 years for repair work on the roads before monsoon?' He said Rs 3500 cr".  Maniesh expressed shock over the amount and asked why the roads are not proper despite the investment. To this, the CM added, "Yehi toh daal mai kaala tha, black main white main black, ye sab chaalu tha. Maine unka dhandha bandh kard diya. 700-800 kms ke road concrete ke ho jaayenge, toh inka har saal ka woh band. Logo ko jo milna hai suvidha unko milni chahiye, iske upar mai kaam kar raha hu. (There was something fishy. I stopped this business. If 700-800 kms of road are made in concrete then this annual business of repairing will end. I have been working towards the facilities that people deserve)".            View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Maniesh Paul (@manieshpaul) CM Shinde further promised the vision of a pothole free Mumbai. It dates back to the time when Aamir was shooting for Dil which was directed by Indra Kumar and the cameraman was Baba Azmi. They were having a deep discussion about films at Baba Azmi's house when Shabana Azmi offered Aamir tea and asked how much sugar would he take in his tea. Super engrossed in his conversation, Aamir turned to her and said "How big is the glass?" Sara Ali Khan, Ayushmann Khurrana and Karan Johar

Have you heard? A fun spy thriller next

Buzz in B-Town is that Ayushmann Khurrana has bagged his first film with Karan Johar. Co-produced by Guneet Monga, the yet-untitled project is said to be a spy comedy helmed by Aakash Kaushik. The makers felt that the actor is the right fit for the script that is a perfect mix of edge-of-the seat moments and humour. “It is a film with scale, thrills, action and plenty of comedy,” says a source. He further shares that breaking the predictable norms of the spy genre, it will be a quintessential Ayushmann film with a message. The makers are in talks with Sara Ali Khan to play the leading lady. They are also expected to make an official announcement and reveal the title in the coming days, even though filming is slated to begin only after a few months.    Chalo Delhi Aamir Khan is leaving no stone unturned in the making of his next, Sitaare Zameen Par. Director RS Prasanna’s adaption of the Spanish sports drama, Campeones (2018) is centred on the Paralympic Games with the actor-producer playing a basketball coach. Come May, Aamir and the team will head to Delhi for a month-long shoot, undeterred by the rising mercury in the capital. They will film at landmark locations like Red Fort, Lodhi Gardens, Tyagraj Stadium and parts of Old Delhi. The actor-producer is planning to bring the inspiring story to screens during Christmas 2024. Question time Tamannaah Bhatia has reportedly been summoned before the Maharashtra Cyber for questioning in connection with the illegal streaming of the Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament last year on an app that resulted in a huge financial loss to the official rights holder. The Babli Bouncer (2022) actor has been asked to report before the Maharashtra Cyber on April 29. She is not the only one to be questioned in this case. Sanjay Dutt was also summoned on April 23, but he couldn’t appear as he was out of the country. Consequently, the Leo actor has sought another date from the authorities. It is being said that Tammy and Sanju allegedly promoted and endorsed Fairplay app, a subsidiary of the controversial Mahadev betting app.  Meera’s heavy duty act While shooting a wedding sequence can be fun, it proved to be a difficult affair for Meera Deosthale. While filming the extensive portions of her character Nandini’s wedding with Naren (played by Zaan Khan) for the television show, Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai, the actor had to wear a traditional Gujarati panetar lehenga adorned with detailed embroidery. If that wasn’t enough, she also had to add another layer of gad cholo with intricate gold work and jewellery. While sporting Gujarati attire was a special feeling, Meera says, “I wore this [creation] for 20 to 25 days. The panetar lehenga was heavy; along with the gad cholo and jewellery, it all collectively weighed 35 kilos.” Conceding that it was almost impossible to walk around in it, the actor adds, “Sometimes I couldn’t even move, but despite the challenges, it was an interesting experience.” At the end of it all, it appears that she is done with heavy outfits for life. “Now, I feel that when I get married, I will wear a simple dress,” she signs off. Overwhelmed and emotional The première of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar turned out to be an emotional affair for Richa Chadha. The actor, who plays Lajjo in the web series, was showered with praise and affection by none other than Rekha for her performance. Seeing Richa overwhelmed, Rekha too had tears in her eyes. Calling it a milestone moment in her career, Richa said, “Receiving praises and love from someone as revered as Rekha ji is a moment I will cherish forever. I couldn’t have asked for bigger validation, my heart is full.” Sharing that her solo mujra in the show is inspired by Rekha’s song, Yeh kya jagah hai doston, from Umrao Jaan, she added, “She has been my inspiration, my hero and she’s the definition of what an icon is. Her kind words and affection towards my performance left me speechless and deeply touched. I will never forget this night and her blessings.” Global glory Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan (2023) has earned a nomination at the Taurus World Stunt Awards, which are referred to as the Oscars for the action genre. The high-octane stunts of Atlee’s directorial venture have been recognised in the Best Stunts category. The other nominees are Hollywood blockbusters like John Wick: Chapter 4, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning, Extraction 2, and Ballerina. An extra special song Over 20 years after Ishq Vishk (2003), producer Ramesh Taurani is gearing up for the sequel, Ishq Vishk Rebound. Helmed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari and featuring Rohit Suresh Saraf, Pashmina Roshan, Naila Grrewal and Jibraan Khan, the campus romcom is slated to arrive on June 24. But first, rapper-singer Badshah and director Farah Khan will team up for a special number for the film. “It is an iconic song, recreated with a contemporary twist. Prep has begun and the team will shoot it with the principal cast next week,” said a source. The soundtrack, composed by Rochak Kohli, will be one of the highlights of the film.

Tiger lost his bite?

In 2020, when filmmaker Siddharth Anand announced Rambo with Tiger Shroff, the film seemed right up the action star’s alley. Almost four years on, he was set to begin work on the movie after the release of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. However, things seem to have changed now. With Shroff’s last few releases, including Heropanti 2 (2022) and Ganapath (2023), receiving lukewarm response at the box office, it is heard that Rambo’s makers have decided to shelve the project. A source reveals, “Producer Siddharth and director Rohit Dhawan wanted to mount Rambo on a big budget. While Heropanti 2 and Ganapath failed to set the cash registers ringing, they decided to see the audience’s response to Bade Miyan Chote Miyan before taking a call on Rambo’s feasibility. Since the big-ticket action entertainer had an underwhelming run, Siddharth felt it would be best to park his ambitious film for now.” Since action has been Shroff’s forte in his decade-long career, the last few movies’ lacklustre run has surprised him. Sources say that the actor might slash his fees going forward. The source adds, “He is said to have charged somewhere upwards of Rs 30 crore for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The right thing for him would be to reduce his fees.” Meanwhile, the actor has Singham Again and a Karan Johar production in the pipeline.
