She has the distinction of being the first Indian woman shuttler to attain the world number one ranking, the first Indian to win a world junior title at the World Junior Badminton Championships in 2008, she was the first Indian woman to win a bronze medal at the London Olympics in 2012 and the first Indian to win a four-star Badminton event -- Philippines Open -- in 2006. The 26-year-old is also been honoured for her achievement with India's top honours including the Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri, Khel Ratna and Arjuna awards.
But all those glories and honour Saina won for the country meant nothing for the trolls who decided to brand her anti-national for a single post on Facebook. And, what's the reason for these 'Indians' to shame a national icon on Facebook? Well, that takes the cake.
Saina is being trolled for endorsing a Chinese brand.
