Opting to bat, Al-Barkaat ended the day at 314-9 in 85 overs. Shoeb’s knock was laced with 17 boundaries and two sixes before he was caught and bowled by off-spinner Danish Shaikh.
Shoeb was ably supported by Pushkar Vashisth (62). “The pressure of playing against Rizvi was there, but once I crossed the 100-run mark I wanted to stay at the crease a bit more. I am glad that the team went past the 300-run mark and hope to enter the final,” said the 13-year-old.
