The raiding party from the Narcotics Division recovered marijuana from the booth. Some members of the raiding team posed as customers and arrested Mohammed Altaf, the owner of the booth red-handed.
Deputy Superintendent of Police HL Ravi Kumar, who led the team, found 50 packets of marijuana.
Altaf subsequently revealed that the STD booth was a front for his narcotic business. He reportedly bought the marijuana in bulk from his contact Vinod Kumar of Anjinappa Garden and sold a 200-gram packet for Rs 150.

Armed with this information, the team raided Vinod Kumar'su00a0 house and confiscated 38 kilograms of marijuana worth Rs 4.5 lakh from him.
Altaf reportedly made Rs 2,500 a day from sale of marijuana.
Ravi Kumar revealed that Altaf's customers were mainly students and labourers. "We suspect that Altaf sells around two to three kilograms of ganja everyday.
He has been in this business for the last two years," said an officer, who was a member of the raiding team.
"Vinod Kumar was supplied the drug by his landlord who is absconding. We are trying to verify the source of the drugs being brought into the city," he said.
According to official sources, marijuana, which is also known as ganja, is grown in Hoskote on the outskirts of the city. It is also smuggled from neighboring states like Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
