The campaign will be launched in Haryana from November 1, which is also celebrated as the 'Haryana Day'. Haryana was carved out as a separate state on November 1, 1966. During the campaign, which Khattar said will be on the lines of Narendra Modi government's 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan', focus will also remain on cleanliness of slum areas. Khattar, who was addressing his maiden press conference here as the Chief Minister, said a chair at Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak would be set up in the name of former Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana, Mangal Sain on the occasion of his birth anniversary, which is being observed today.

Sain was one of tallest leaders of the BJP in Haryana. Khattar said the Cabinet also decided to observe October 31 as 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' (national unity day) in memory of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, whose birth anniversary falls on that day. Schools, colleges and universities in all the districts would celebrate the occasion in a befitting manner, he said.
