An ever-fav, 'Taj Mahal ka Tender' is back in the city . Watch it if you haven't, already

Had Shah Jahan been alive today, even he wouldn't have had enough funds to renovate the timeless Taj. However, on stage, nothing is impossible. This play will not only tickle your funny bones but also point out the inherent loopholes of our administrative system.

Beauty and babudom
Chief engineer Gupta Ji, who has a special advisor, PA Sudhir, and a special assistant besides contractor Bhaiya Ji, will handle Shah Jahan's dream project. All of them are engaged in the planning of Taj Mahal. A corporation is built, hundreds of clerks and engineers are appointed, and money spent without any thought. Guptaji will build everything a personal building, hotel and farmhouse but Taj Mahal...?! It's not going to be that easy. Though the work is going on as per rules and procedures, the construction hits a bottleneck once it gets caught up in government formalities and corrupt officials.u00a0u00a0

Heavily cast
The cast of the play includes Anil Sharma (who is also the director), Rahul Vashisth, Jugnu, Umesh Goyal and Sudhir among others. "Our main aim to is make the audience laugh, and, at the same time, highlight the inefficiency of government employees. Red tapism and corruption are inherent in our system, which make it practically impossible for any man to fulfill his dream, even the smallest one," says director Anil Sharma. Set out for some inspiration.
